Chemistry Road Show

The Story

When the Chemistry Road Show got an additional grant in 2011, we jumped at the opportunity to rebrand this program. Aimed at K-12 public school children, the road show needed a colorful, playful look to catch attention as it traveled across Texas to public schools.

The founding member of the Chemistry Road Show, Dr. John Hogg, wore a signature tie-dye lab coat. To honor his memory, we used this as a jumping point for the materials. I anchored the logo and supporting artwork in an electric rainbow. And the new Chemistry Road Show was created.

The Results

We developed bright rainbow tie-die lab coats, trifolds to promote the program in schools, a vehicle wrap for the new vans and a myriad of neon shirts to give away as prizes for volunteers, participants in the show.

The director reports a huge success. In fact they were so overbooked, he had to start turning some opportunities away. The van is seen up and down the Texas highways and brings the joy of chemistry wherever it goes.
