Words, Wit & Whimsy
The Story
Emily came to me with several irons in the fire. An accomplished writer, blogger & artist. The challenge was to give her a website that would bring in customers for freelance writing, putting a professional foot forward, while also allowing her an outlet for personal creative expression through her blog & doodle business. So Words, Wit & Whimsy was born. After meeting to discuss strategy, we had an initial photography session to capture in candids the soul of the parts of her businesses. Then a little customization in Squarespace coding to accomplish a few features and Emily could hit the ground running.
The Results
A site that balanced all of Emily’s business & personal goals. Since Emily is a writer by trade, the design for Words, Wit and Whimsy gives plenty of whitespace to the words, so they are not overshadowed by images. In fact, we strategically start each page with words, not images. The best thing you can hear from a client. “Now I’m proud of my website, I feel excited to share it with the world.” Can’t beat that one folks. :)
